Dear Members and Friends of Jefferson,

As this Good Friday dawns, I pray for you, and all you know and love, are healthy and blessed! It may be hard to understand why we call it “Good Friday” when such terrible things happened to our Lord and His disciples. Ironically, as we go through challenging times, Good Friday reminds us that it may be Good Friday, with all it’s suffering and pain, but Easter Sunday is coming, with all its life-giving blessing and promise!

I thought it would be appropriate to simply read the scriptures and let then speak for themselves. When you open the video message I will be sharing the “Seven Last Words” of Jesus on the Cross. Please take a few quiet moments, listen to the scriptures and meditate on the meaning of Jesus’ words for you.

The message of the Cross is powerful, even as it is painful. After you have taken some time to thank Jesus for His great sacrifice on our behalf, click on the link below. It is one of the most famous and classic Good Friday messages ever shared. It was prepared years ago by a wonderful African-American pastor, S.M. Lockridge. It is called, “It’s Friday, But Sunday’s Comin.’” (Please skip the 5 second ad!) I pray that it will be as much of a blessing to you as it has been to me for many years.

Remember, It’s Friday… But Sunday’s Coming!”

Pastor Larry
