All Saints Sunday

Since the year 835, Christians have celebrated All Saints Day on November 1. It is a day to remember all God’s faithful people who have lived and died in Christ, to celebrate the ways they have pointed us to God, and to reflect upon our own relationship to Jesus and his church.
On Sunday, October 29, we will recognize members of our church family who have passed away this year. During the Celebration of Life, we will read the names of church and immediate family members who have died, tolling a bell and presenting a rose to the family. Our pastoral prayer will also include an opportunity to remember others who have passed away.
Our Scripture passages will be Psalm 34 and Revelation 7:9-17. Please join us in the sanctuary or online. Our service will be live-streamed at 11:00 a.m. on the Jefferson United Presbyterian Church YouTube Channel and available any time afterward.
