(A Series on Mission from the Book of Acts)

April 21, 2024

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

With these words, Jesus entrusted his ministry to his disciples, and those who had been called to follow and learn as students became apostles, sent out to do the work Jesus had called them to do.

Throughout these Sundays of the season between Easter and Pentecost, we’ll see the apostles expand their witness from their immediate community, to the wider community, to their entire region, and all the way to the ends of the earth. And we’ll consider how we at JUPC are called to do the same!

Last Sunday, we considered our witness to one another within our own church community. This Sunday, we begin to expand our focus! Our Scripture passages will be 1 Peter 2:4-10 and Acts 4:5-13. We will also hear about a vital ministry to our college students: Exam Cram!

Please join us in the sanctuary or online. The service will be live-streamed at 11:00 on the Jefferson United Presbyterian Church YouTube Channel and available any time afterward.
